Title: R32 style exhaust for GTI
Post by: Vman on 09 February 2008, 23:31
I have been looking to change my exhaust and rear valance for the R32 centre dual exit exhuast. I have just come across this on Millteks web site
 http://www.millteksport.com/exhaust.products.cfm?variantid=159
 (R32 style numbers 8 AND 9)
from the way I read it Milltek now do the R32 centre dual exit exhaust for the GTI, I will have to try and give my nearest stockest a ring on Monday to price it up.

Welcome Vman,

Should look good that mod. Milltek make top quality exhausts. Are you having a cat back system or the full system?

It will probably just be cat back I think. Non resonated. I will try and speak to Demon tweeks on Monday regarding the exhaust

Did you get the conversion done?

Considering the same.  Also love RedRobin's quad conversion.

Joe

Was looking at the OSIR valance for a quad conversion which looks cool.  Not sure it would stand out well enough on my black GTI though.

Not had it done yet, finally got the money to do it, just my partner has not been well and that and a few other things have been taking my time. It will get done but its just a case of getting round to it. I also love RedRobin's quad converstion looks very smart.

....As I'm recieving so many compliments on my GTI tonight it would be rude not to post some pics - Just saw this one on an American site:

^Word! I can't help but to comment every time I see it.
And now knowing that the owner is 61 makes it even cooler.

The great thing about the stock R32 rear 'spoiler' is that it has cut-outs to take all exhaust configurations and although it's .:R and not GTI, it still looks oem and style coordinates with the side skirts (when colour coded).

I like the rear Robin

If there's one thing that disappoints me (a little) about the MK 5 GTI- it's the backside. Needs a little more excitement in my opinion. The R32 rear looks great!

Just missed out on an R32 rear bumper at a breakers on e-bay - was going for £130.

Would have got me to pull my finger out and get on with the mod.  How much are people paying for the rear Milltek R32 exhaust?

Until I read the separate thread on rears  I hadn't realised that the R32 rear bumper has the separate section (unlike the all in one GTI and ED30 rear bumpers).  So an R32 bumper is is for me.

Like RedRobin I prefer the R32 bumper look rather than some aftermarket bumpers.  And as I have the parking sensors it's an easier mod with the bottom R32 sections.
