Title: Temperture guage not working
Post by: billy_vw on 09 February 2008, 18:37: Picked up my V5 today

Half way driving home (about 50 miles) i noticed my temp guage had not moved
Normally they sit smack on 90 in the middle.

How can i fix this?

How different is a V5 against the 1.8T?

I believe its in the same pipe and place as the 1.8T :smiley:

When it was working it sat dead on 90 as norm,

But i guess im better of replacing the temp sensor anyway :undecided:

I would check the wiring first TBH. Could be corroded terminals :undecided: The temp sender is Ã‚£25 and 60p for the clip and rubber seal.
