Title: Recommend me a nice loud exhaust ...
Post by: ShoCk on 08 February 2008, 23:20
Not ridiculously loud ... something that roars nicely, gurgles gently at idle and pops when I floor it etc.

For a 16v GTi ABF

Gotta say Powerflow....had one on my valver and that combined with my induction kit scared alot of other drivers ...but be careful which dealer coz some arn't as good as others. Im lucky enough to still get a go here and there in my old valver as my bother in law got it off me and when i was in it the other day i was still impressed by the sound it made.

Powerflow in the end ... got mine fitted at TopGear in St.Albans, top lads! Sounds the dogs danglies and it hasn't even worn in!

The chap that fitted it has one absolute beast of a project going on with his Golf VR6 ... I personally think it's defo going to be the best this year!

how much was it for the exhaust, the powerflow?

£300 notes for a single exit ehaust ... or £320 (what I paid) for a exhaust with twin pipes. Told them exactly how I wanted it to sound and everything and it was spot on! Makes hardly any noise on idle, and sounds like the end of the world over 4000rpm!

Yup it's a one-off ... you tell them exactly what you want and they'll try their best to meet your specification. You also get a LIFETIME GUARANTEE ... so anything goes wrong with the zaust, they'll sort you a new one.
