Following on from this http://www.pocketrocket.ca/momo_wheel.html
I've fitted my MOMO steering wheel, looks superb & really like how it feels when driving.
However,
Obviously now the air bag is disconnected the warning light (above the abs light) is permanently on when the ignition is on.
My question is, aside from removing the bulb, is there a way round this?
-
smash the airbag bulb
-
you can buy a resistor from vw, not sure what the part number is mind, will try to find out, fools the car into thinking the bag is in place

Ah, brill. Does it just plug into the socket where the airbag is removed from?
Thanks for that!
-
yes it does .

Well picked up the resistor from the stealer & plugged it in where I unplugged the airbag & no change?!
Light still flashes on ignition & then stays on when running?
-
if you have run the car without it, it might be worth disconecting your battery and leaving it a bit to reset everything, then make sure the resistor is pluged in when you re-connect it, that way the car should think all is well. worth a try :undecided:

Ah ok, will give that a try then!
