hi guys im lookin on doing a mk2 conversion just wondering which is easier but which would be better just like some advice
im thinking of either a vr6 lump g60 or a mk4 1.8turbo lump wot you think

it really is personal preferance!they all have pros and cons. use the forum search function.

expect comments involving 'can of worms' 'do we have do go through this again' etc etc from the forum regulars lol

But I'd go for a VR6 personally! B E A U Tiful sounding engine

or build a 1.8 16v g60  :cool: :cool:....or a 16v turbo :cool:

If you haven't already, try and get a test drive in the original car for each lump to see which style of driving you like best as that is a list of VERY different engines.

My choice would be to spend the money on an original G60 Mk2 to avoid all the hard work, or, if cash isn't a problem, the 1.8T due to its tuneability.
