Hi all,
I have a really nice GTI 16v mk3, but the suspension is original, and very wallowy..
Car will be used on the street, doubt I will track it, but would like to improve it, and lower it a little (35/40mm or so)
Had a couple of mk3 VR6's and reckon the handling was the cars worst feature..so if I can tighten things up without going daft that would be ideal.
So, looking at what kit to put on..without spending a lot on coilovers, so probably one of these:
1. Bilstein Streetline
2. KONI Strt
3. KONI Sport/SSK
4. Boge shocks and Eibach springs
So, has anyone any particular recommendations on the above, and possibly anyone got a car with it on in the Hampshire area?
Also, any recommendations on someone to fit in Hampshire/Sussex? Obviously want it done properly but at a fair price.
Thanks!Dan

OK did a search and KONI Sport/Boge/Eibach seem to get the best writeups from you guys..but any other hints/tips welcome.

Thanks, very handy, where did you get your kit from?
Also, anyone know exactly when the pigtail spring size changed? Mine's Feb 1995.

My springs were from larkspeed and shockers were from a trade only place (called ferraris pistons service in doncaster) but most good car shops should be able to get them...
and i would say your springs are 65mm later ones but it depends really when the car was built!
