Title: Dump valve questions?
Post by: scotgc on 08 February 2008, 12:57
OK i have been looking on the awesome GTI website and they offer two DV'S but which is best? or are their better alternatives for a standard car? i have listed them below.

Forge Atmospheric Blow Off Valve 2.0T
Yet another first for the Volkswagen and Audi Tuning Market from Forge ! With the introduction of the VAG 2.0 litre FSi Turbo Engine, Forge have developed a Patented Atmospheric Blow-Off Valve adapter specifically designed to fit this application. Simple in execution, yet offering the desirable atmospheric blow-off valve sound, this product has been designed to be fully compatible with the Bosch ME9 engine management systems employed on the following vehicles: Audi A3 2.0T FSI Audi B7 A4 2.0T FSI Volkswagen MK5 Golf GTI/Jetta GLI 2.0T FSI.

Forge Adjustable Atmospheric Blow Off Valve 2.0T
A switchable valve for the VAG 2.0 litre FSi Turbo engine which allows a choice of Blow off (loud) / Blow off and partial recirculation (intermediate) or total recirculation (quiet). This gives you the choice of exactly how loud you wish your valve to be .

Note, this will not fit some of the 07> 2.0L FSIT applications such as the S3, Ed.30 Golf, and LCR

they are both just blow off valves, not diverter valvers. a diverter is the best, awesome supply them but they are not on the website.    blow off valves dump to atmosphere and make the psssst noise. some like it but imo its annoying.
