hi,
apart from the 4 branch maifold what other 'mods' have you guys done to your car?
-
alright mate, hows it going
Just bought my first mk2 gti 8v =) got a pipercross air filter which i think im gonna take off and drill the airbox n k&n filter element. and a rear box.
-
4 branch stainless manifold, full stainless powerflow exhaust system, drilled airbox with k&n panel filter
besides a chip, cams, pulley, head work (porting/polishing)... I dont think there is much further you can go. Apart from throttle bodies but thats very expensive!
-
can get it bored, or even better, 2ltr bottom end, from an audi or mk3 golf.
thats probs one of the easiest major mods you can do with a big difference in performance, especially from the audi b/e.
reletivly cheap too if you shop around.
after that, pullys porting polishing...basically whats been said above.
-
weight reduction...mines fully stripped part from dash, makes a hell of a difference to handling and speed :)
-
Added 12 more valves and a turbo!
