And will it be ok with aftermarket exhaust and airfilter, what would the power difference be like with other mods. Dont know a great deal about ecu's so all advice is welcome. Dont buy it b4 iv decided! lol.

hi there i have a revo remap on my ecu and its great and its the same engine spec as advertised on ebay on my gti but u need to make sure the chip is actually in there and works fine i have been told on my car that the revo chip is always learning and once the battery is disconected its learns and reads again after ten mins i think its great but that my opinion for my gti 1.8 20v turbo but seems ok but saying that make sure ur engine is the same and also his feedback is good and genuine and ask if he as the original recepit for the remap on the ecu and what happened to the car it was on and why was it taken out? sometimes if it looks to good to be true it properly is but be on ur guard and watch out if hes answer tick the right boxes then the choice is urs

ok good stuff. yea il ask about it. is it easy to get my old ecu out and out the new one in? thanks for the reply

get your own ECU remapped; you could find that there is problems with the ECU etc and it may not work properly with your car.
Not worth the risk IMO

I personally wouldn't take the risk, mate. Besides, you'll more than likely have to get your keys re-coded to. By the time you've messed about, you could've just got your car done by 'Custom Code' for circa £300!

as above im sure you will have 2 get the ecu re prog and keys this will include your immobiliser, imo not worth the hassle just get your ecu re-mapped

Like everybody said I would leave it but just in case people wanted to know I can get the immobiliser defeated on ECU's for £110
