Post by: DON_GEOVANI on 07 February 2008, 13:16
can anyone help me im just wondering how much services usually are, i paid £192 for my 65000 miles service and that was not including the cambelt which i had done sumtime earlier. was that a major service? im jus bout to take it for the 77,000mile service any ideas how much it will be from past experience? do they replace everything every service eg air filters n stuff?

Mine is going in for its 80k service tomorrow and thats costing me £170. TBH im not sure what they are doing on it, got a list somewhere.

Its going to cost more im im sure he will find some problems, I know for a fact that the wheel bearing has gone on the back, but that shouldnt cost too much.

Hope this helps.

How often do they change the coolant in the radiator. I have had my car 3 years and only had it serviced at VW, but they have informed me the coolant is the wrong one and is corroding the radiator.

you have to request the change i believe; expect to pay about £40 for the labour and coolant i think
