Hey guys, looking to lower my mk3 gti 8v about 35mm but havent got much cash, would anyone reccomend lowering springs as i havent got the money for coilovers?

Yeah lowering springs are fine and at that kind of lowerage you should be OK on your old shocks.

you can get a set of huttunning colies on ebay for about £180 ? they seem to be doing well among forum members. 

worth holding out for and saving up for them...

Yer could afford £180 pretty easy, are these huttunning coilovers any gud? got ova problems now tho, fink the barings have colapsed the cam shaft, its making a rite noise. does anyone know how big of a job they are to change, ive heard there pretty hard?
