door handle off 2 screws-  door pin off -screws off and and doorcard is clipped on.

seal behind the door card is smegged on -heat with an hairdryer to heat glue makes it easy to take off
if the window doesnt go down it will take longer to take off the 2 x 10mm nuts that hold the glass in
other than that its pretty straight forward unplug the motor
undo the 10mm bolts that hold the reg on and slide it out

You can't go wrong mate.

Im a total novice and have done it a couple of times.  I also just bought a mech from the bay.

As long as you remember where everything goes its a doddle.

I found some bits a bit hard to get off, only because they are plastic and didn't want to break them, but in the end they shifted no problem.

How much did you get the mech for?

Don't touch the handle.  It stays in.

Got my one for £50.  Yours brand new aye?

Can't remeber off the top of my head, but as soon as the door card comes off, its obvious.

The Haynes manual has a walk through of it too.

Ok well tried to do this today but got a little stuck, got the door card off and removed the nuts that hold the regulater inplace but couldn't get the brackets that hold the glass out, its impossible as there is no room inside that part of the door and i didn't want to brake the glass.

What am i doing wrong..?

the window motor is dead then - use a 10mm rachet spanner .is the mech- snapped or is the motor dead

Not sure about which part is dead, tested my new mech from ebay and that works. You can't get a rachet spanner up into the top of the door as there just aint the room and i dont wanna break the glass!

if u have undone the mech with the window still attached it will drop down about 2/3 inches then you can get the ratchet spanner on ,did mine recently so it does work

How much did you pay for this? Bidding on one at the moment as mine is a bit dodgy. Don't want to over bid!
