Im looking to purchase a 1999/V V5, 5 door silver, Full black recaro leather & winter pack.
Hass 100k with history. 6 months T&T.
What should i pay?
-
between £2500 and £3500 depending on the condition
no offence but why would you want to buy a V5 MK4 when you can get a 1.8T for the same money or a TDI 150 both being superior to the V5
is the V6 out of your budget?
-
Well said Ridge, stole my words. Dont bother with a V5. Get a 1.8T or V6.
-
hopefully agreed a price of £2700
but i dont think i can get a tdi 150 anywhere near that price
Also its the full leather i like.....

you would be looking at probably double that for a TDI
what about the V6 or 1.8T?
leather is the future!
-
Leather is Kool, but cold in the morning! :embarassed:
Is it me or do 2-4 on the heating control of the seats do nothing?
V5 will drink....prepare to spend some time at the petrol station if you have a right foot made of lead.
£65 for around 220 miles on my V6
(98/99 RON @ london prices!!)
Bring on the derv...

i know what you mean, i normally put mine on 5 for 5 mins at which point hot airs then coming out
-
Heating, like any car, takes its time to warm up.
On a more seriuse note. Get the 1.8T lol.
-
He's had one of those! And my Mk3 16v was faster than it!
Billy has had more cars than you lot put together have had hot meals! So its just the novelty of it for him!
And he wont keep it long either!

Len, you are wrong
I had a V5 Bora & i can not remember putting it up against you 16v :undecided:
You are right about 1 thing, I have had my fair share of VW's and probably not keep this v5 golf for long
But while it is in my ownership, i will enjoy every penny i spend on fuel and driving yet another fine VW motor

Oh yeah! For all of 2 weeks and I didnt even get a chance to drive it!
Was the 1.8t I was on about when we went to that crap RR session at storm developments when I goy 173bhp aqnd that got 171bhp! :smug:
