What a bunch of cvnts these MK5 owners are :D
-
   its so some daft tw@t in a mk4 cant come along and open his door into it
-
That looks perfectly acceptable to me!
-
for me and my easily marked white E30 with black rims - this is the ONLY way to park. I park horrendously now. :lipsrsealed: But I have had bad experience with doors slaming in and leaving marks.

Is Olleib one of these?

Notice the VERY cool plate, "VV07 DUB"

i am going to start parking like this as some fooker opened his door into mine while i was parked up  and has put a small dent in my door but lucky for me i know a dent guy
-
Sorry fellas but anyone who parks like that is asking for trouble. If a BMW where to double park they would be classed a tosser, yet it seems some people think it's ok if GTI owners do it. It only takes some tw*t with a key to spoil your pride and joy. Just my opinion.
-
wheels dont look good on it

I have to say I agree with keyser's point. This sort of parking is likely to enrage some young chav who can't get parked up and they won't think twice about walking by and keying your pride and joy.

Just a word of caution!
I agree with the comments above about inconsiderate parking, but you can't tell from the photo who was at fault.
It could be that when the gti arrived, the cars already there at the time were already over the bays and the gti just used the space that was left. When the cars around the gti have gone, and other cars turned up and been better parked, the gti will look out of place.
This happens in our street. You park your car with a nice space around it, then the next morning you find that the car behind ends up sandwiched right up your bumper and the car in front is half a carlength away... and to people passing, it looks like you were the guy who parked stupidly close to one and miles from the other.
Anyway - just thought I'd put my detective hat on!
So far, I haven't seen any tosser GTI drivers on the roads, which was definitely one of the reasons I felt it ok to buy a gti!

Na f#ck it - parked like that on purpose in a way that makes sure no one parks next to me - just takes one dent to be really pissed off and a lot of people at B&Q don't take much care when loading their car with sinks!
Ex BMW TOSSER and proud of it!

I always park as far away as possible , even if its pi**ing down & I've got loadsa shopping
Didn't help last week (when it was very windy) some tw*t must have let his door go causing 2 dents in the passenger door and a 6 inch scrape in the paint on the rub strip !! God that p***ed me off
-
My Dad had an A3....parked it in Asda Wakefield about 4,000,000 miles from the main door and guess what big "fooook off" scratch on one visit and dent on another visit. Now here is a man who parks at the furthest and most un populated space in the whole car park!
I recon we should bring back capital punishment for all careless parking car owners!
-
This drives me mad! So many selfish people who don't give a sh*t! I've had people do it to me when I've been sat in the car! Luckily not got any door dents in the GTI yet.... I always park in an end space if I can, so I've only got one side to worry about! My Missis thinks I'm mad, and I'm probably a bit sad, but this happened after only a couple of months of ownership and I was gutted! (left overnight in golf club after a wedding)

That makes me really angry, especially when they run away like cowards from owning up.
I never thought about this before, but if it's windy, I guess that you should always look for a parking space which points the nose of the car into the wind.
That way, when some clueless fecka parks their car next to you, the wind will not catch their door when it opens.

Just print off a load of these flyers and keep them in your glovebox

I used to park on the end of rows in car parks for the same reason until a low loader cut the corner off the row and dismantled the back of my car
-
I was sat in my car last week in a car park, some guy pulled up in the next space to me quite close. He could see that I was in the car but did not think twice about opening his door hard and nailing my wing mirror, idiot. A rather large argument ensued
-
When mine arrives I'm going to quite happily park in disabled / parent & child spaces at the supermarket. More than happy to pay any penalties!
-
Our whole family parks miles away from everyone and yet still this happens: (Look on the grill- below the red stripe)
It makes us really angry, my mom is paranoid about messing the car up. But since she wrote off two rims and a tyre my dad says that whatever happens to the car next will just be repaired. Once the car is scratched it seems to change everything.
The boot also has a large scratch on it that cant be seen unless you close. But still. Its annoying knowing its there.

A similar thing happened to my mate at college. theres no parking there but we all park on the small housing estate opposite thats still under construction, so theres lorrys that go by so you have to park all on the same side close to the curb. but yesterday this builder see's my mate hugh parking up and to cut a long story short, they have a bit of an argument weather he has the right to park there and whether the car is obstructing the lorrys coming by, anyway it ends a bit sour and hugh leaves his car there, comes bacck to it at the end of college and the wing mirror on the pavement side is lying perfectly placced infront of his car!
infact thinking about it its no way similar to your encounter
oh well its sort of relevant
