Hi , I have just purchased a 1991 MK11 GTI .
My insurance want me to provide them with info of the immobiliser fiited on the car.
There is one on there but I don't have a clue what it is or how to validate this for the insurance company ?
Anybody out there help me ?

The only thing an insurance company will accept is the certificate from the alarm installer. If you havent got that in with the cars documents then go back to where you bought it and ask them.

Hey up mate welcome the best thing to do is to take your car along to your nearist alarm place but not halfords someone like a proffesional installer of alarms and audio they should be able to check he alarm and provide you with a certificate to get the insurance off your case for a small charge. cheers Dave
