Got a Mk5 which is coming to end of warranty. Just done over 30k and can't decide whether to invest the £400 in the extended warranty. Anyone got any ideas if its £400 down the pan or money well spent?

how much longer does the warrenty go on for?
-
Its a new vw so do it

£400 extends the standard warranty for 12 months and includes RAC cover

For just 12 months, I would say "not worth it". Plus I bet there are loads of excluded items.
-
no way!! for just one year!!
-
i think i'd take the chance and not have it extended...

If you shop around you can find good deals. I personaly would buy warrany on a new vag car. :lipsrsealed:

What you have to think is that the roadside alone has got be be worth £50/60. There for you car only has to be in for a 3/4 hours at a VW dealer for work in labour alone for it to be worth it never mind parts and vat etc.
Christ I am a good salesman. I would not consider owning a car of any reasonable value with not having a warranty after getting fisted by our workshop for work to be done on cars before they go on the pitch.
