I may have one for sale soon which has been painted in black and is mint and I have the recess for the rear bumper to, just undecided to go for the flush or french look :undecided:

complete waste of time and effort...i dnt understand body kits and stupidly oversized exhausts, it looks like a toy!
-
tbh some people have more money than sense lol could have got a nice mk2 for what that cost
-
No, not something I understand either.
-
at the end of the day everyone is to there own individual , I do prefer french tail gates though as there not to over the top.
-

i agree the flushed plinth looks well. alot better on mk3 thou

 you know your car is awesome and everyone worships it like summer...
-
do they?
admittedly i know it doesn't scream 'boy racer' but it does have extensive body mods including:
audi door handles
side strips removed
G60 arches smoothed
bumpers smoothed
indicators deleted
numberplate recess deleted
foglights removed and air vents smoothed in
sprinter wing vent
frenched tailgate
de-badged rear
etc etc

joe,
there is a difference from some who has extensive chav body work done and some one who has done lots of tidy mods. i dont like flush boots on a golf but thats me, everything else youve listed is something i'd love to have done, but i cudnt justify spending that money.
your car is a show winner, end of story, why you care what i think bout flush boots? wish i could have your car, but id change the boot lol :P :P
-
numberplate recess deleted
frenched tailgate
whats those to then ?
-
Nowt wrong with a flushed boot! Might be taking mine of and putting a standard one back on though as I'm a bit bored of it now and have gone of it a bit :)

technically its not 'frenched' which is a term for sinking something into the bodywork, as the recess is already there, but its generally what people call the look of deleteing the handle etc from the boot lid.

my boot is all good (see above)! i was only taking the piss dude, was just proving a point that extensive body mods doesn't always mean its a bad thing. as you may have gathered... i'm a sarcastic little tw@t!

Must admit that is nice.
-

Disgraceful Joe!
The frenched tailgate is very nice tho, how do you get in the boot? solenoid style thing?
-
yup
-
there is a big difference between subtle body mods and chav'y bodykits!!!
-
^^ kinda my point ;)
-
was it expensive joe?
-
I've got same as joes and it cost me £30 from local mk2 breaker, it was on a metalflake green 5 door around rotherham, so altogether including seloniod( spelling?) about £120, sprayed and fitted
It's now black by the way
-
nah a mate of mine did it, can't remember how much it was.
