mine goes in for its first service in a couple of weeks (9,500miles), quoted £98.76, which includes oil change and filters and just a basic check over - so they tell me! I'm guessing you can wait until its covered the 1100 miles before it actually needs to go in.

cost wise it depends on where you live. I'm in london and it was £165 for first year service, however, got a quote from the supplying dealer outside of london and they match it to £145. From what I hear you should pay less up norf!

£126 in Glasgow.

£126 in Glasgow.
is that for first or second service?

I got a fixed price of the dealer £126 for 1st and 2nd service t&d, or £240 long life.

ive just seen that awesome do servicing, would it be better that they do it or a dealer. :undecided:

It depends if you want to keep the VW service history up. Awesome will do a better job and probably won't break anything like the main stealers always seem to do with my car
-
Wolsey VW of Ipswich charged me £160 for Long Life @ 11k miles

My current quote for filters, oil, brake fluid 30k service at a large Hertfordshire-based dealership...
£230.36.
