Title: dent removal tips please
Post by: shikta000 on 03 February 2008, 15:57
not sure if this should be in this section....my question....how easy would it be for me to sort out these two dents ...and how? i can get to them through the boot so is it a case of knocking them back out ? or i remember seeing a tool on ebay that had a wax tip which one heated and then stuck onto a dent, when wax had set the procedure was to pull it out along with the dent..ideas?

There are mobile company's that can do this VERY cheaply now - They use some kind of ultra quick method of removing dents. For example: http://www.thedentclinic.co.uk/

I would use one of them as its only £30 or so I think.

Hmmm.... Good luck to you.

That looks bad, sharp dent in possibly a hard spot.

Best of luck to you tho.  Some of the wonders people can do is crazy.

Thats not a pretty dent mate. On the edge can be a issue, I doubt that a specialist would get that perfect without using good old fashioned filler!

I called them about a dent on mine a while back and they said that although they are better with minor dents etc, they can make even the worst dent look better.

So although yours are bad, they might be able to get it 80 or 90 % right, then you can get a bodyshop to paint it for you.

Those dents are well beyond whats known in the trade as "smart" repairs! expect quotes of around £300-400+vat to get done at a reputable body shop... or mates rates should get it done for under £200

hammer, filler, sandpaper, paint shop...looks pretty much thats the only option.get it looking as good as possible on the inside, then get to work with the grinder and filler on the outside, no-one will know... except everyone on this forum...

I seem to be good at putting dents in mine at the moment. Had my second wallop in my work car park since I've had it today. Totally mangled my rear valance and it's actually ripped the metal :-(
