Notice they're all from Traders - must be hard to shift due to the environmental issue and steep Vehicle Tax due to the high emissions :evil:

Ain't it like £400 for tax now on an R? Had my form through today - £205 is bad enough! :sick:
That R does look nice in red and I ain't seen one on the road either, the MK4 R in red was rare too IIRC!

seen a couple in M.k. MK5 R32's, both been in that nice blue that VW do.
although the ebau search is for ALL catagories, in cars there are 102 R32's, which is still a few mind.
Given that there are only 2 Golf MK3 16v on ebay at the mo I would say that I have the rearer car!!!!! :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

They do them in Europe (I think) but not UK (I think).
Im sure someone posted a candy white R32 here not too long ago.

I think I would have bought that if I hadn't already got my GTI. I'd have still modded it!!!
Expensive to run (V6 on Millteks = Much use of the Loud pedal) and expensive to tax etc.

I think it is probably due to all those penny millionaires who go for the car and then simply can't afford the upkeep to run them. Great if you can afford to, I suppose a bit of a chain and ball if you can't.
Nieghbour had a 3ltr Xtype and basically swapped it for a diesel as he was doing 500 miles a week on 22mpg and so it was costing him £100 a week in normal unleaded. His diesel manages 53mpg and now he puts in just over £40 a week. Not as much fun though :cry:

No what you mean i had a 330 m sport, it cost £80 per week on fuel the same trip in the gti is £40.

Thats actually the limited edition RS model, may or may not have the R36 engine. VW do have a Golf R36 test mule doing the rounds though.

I wont be getting the Zolders...il be getting the Omanyts as its a 2008 Model...but then aswell i dont like them...the R32 looks like an aggresive car and imo the omanyts just dont look too agressive....gonna need to see if i can get a good deal on some RS4 reps....

Admittedly it is expensive to run... All in all I have worked out that my R costs me about £750 per month!!
Which is a small mortgage I guess you could say. Althought I am still undecided as to if I would purchase one myself... the prospect of having one with a small conversion to 300bhp does sound like a shed load of fun.. not to mention having a supercharged version.
In reality it would just be too much cost and I like to have a new car every couple of years!
As for all the R32's advertised... I took mine to central london to visit a friend before xmas. I cannot understand why anyone in London would own or want an R32 (or GTi) for that matter. I must have averaged about 10mph over the entire weekend.... and spent £100 of fuel. So anyone who travels alot during rush hour... or in a busy city is fast going to realise they have made the wrong purchase!!

actually i saw a dirty one in commercial road, east london last night, it does look good actually as it's quite rare.......i used to have a red polo so i quite like the colour.................
tried to catch that car up for a little race but the traffic lights put a stop to that
