Hi Guys,
Looking into getting the Detroits (on white ED30). Wondering how resilient they are. Do they scratch easily? Buff up nicely?
Is buying them in the UK the best, or much cheaper in Europe?
Any advice appreciated.

Hi Robin,
Yes these are the ones. Funny though... all the blokes I know love them... and all the girls hate them.
I love them, however I’m warming to the Pescaras.
Cheers,
Hotrod.

....Possibly a black macho image boys toys thing and not pretty enough for girls

Hotrod, the pescaras got a bad press when the first horrible shots came out (photoshopped). Even with real wheels on, the pictures online don't really do pescaras justice. The bolder simpler shape of the Monzas etc. looks better on the screen.
When I saw the pescaras in the flesh, it totally changed my mind.

I'm quite looking forward to the Pescaras.
Am I right in thinking, they're not silver, but a slightly darker grey? (Should look good against the silver of the car).

Yes sort of a graphite colour, mine look lovely in the garage

Here's an idea:

Goes very well with candy white

Andy B,
Starting to really like the Pescaras, on this Candy White looking great. Loving the graphite finish.

Yeah, that colour and the subtle curve near the bolts looks great in the flesh... To start with I preferred the Monza 18", but I think if I had a choice, I'd go for the Pescaras now in preference. (I almost specced a standard GTI with the optional Monzas before talking myself into upgrading to an Ed30. The 'wheels are included in the price' helped the argument for the Edition 30  )
