Post by: dirk on 01 February 2008, 11:15
Ok, i feel like a complete eegit asking this but i am sooo pi**ed of with them now and having fitted a new one yesterday to my driver (so, obv rear drums) do i have to 'press' the oil seal in more than just on its lip becuase when i fitted it, it came off the back and the inner race also came off the back and both are now on the stub rather than within the drum/housing. any help please let me know asap becuase its dry and i wanna go out in it!cheers

I had a similar problem with my bearings so I took the drum and bearings down to a mechanic down the road for him to press them in for me. I had to get the some of the bearing cut off my sub axle because it was literally stuck on.

See this post I made
