Can get hold of some WaxWizard MC2 Citrus wheel cleaner if you are interested. UKMkIV/TTforum/SeatCupra/BriSkoda rave about it. Comes in a 5L container and you dilute it down so you actually make about 50+ Litres of the stuff.

Wonder wheels is OK butdon't use it frequently as it is quite strong.

email me if you are interested for more details.

john.

When I want to bring up my wheels to look a bit bling I've used a good cut and shine just to polish them up and this should take off the crap, if you look at my sig pic I'd just done them for VW action in June, they fooled jv as he thought I'd had them refurbed  :o Mine are polished anyway so that probably makes a difference.

I still find a bucket and sponge the best thing for mine. Don't let brake dust build up and sit there for too long and it always removes the little that's left. :)

i use a cloth, some soapy water and a old toothbrush. I read someware that wheel cleaner acctually breaks down the clear gloss over the alloys and makes them look dull n boaring. So i never use it.

Wonder Wheels - Pricey, but works amazingly - very impressed with this stuff, I just bush it on, then wash it off when its done - cuz im paranoid about it getting into a few nicks in my wheels.

I use wonder wheels too, and it is good, but because of it's acidic nature, I'm trying to think of an alternative. A guy mentioned to me a non-acidic cleaner which is just as good, and doesn't come with the risk of ruining the wheel- has anyone any idea about this?? an alkaline cleaner or something??

Lets bring this thread into 2009 then.

One word... Bilberry.

Safe AND strong AND cheap.  End of story. http://www.valetpro.co.uk/Products/Cleaners/Bilberry+Safe+Wheel+Cleaner

For really stubborn marks you can also use bodywork clay (e.g. sonus green) as per tar spots on your paint.

Depends on condition.

Bilberry with decent brush, dilute 5:1, goto 2:1 if not shifting, but be careful.

Espuma Revolution (dilute 10:1, so that means its STRONG).

I always use an APC first just to get rid of the heavy stuff (if you have time) and then follow with cleaner. If still their then try claying and something like Megs ScratchX.

i agree with your comment about wonder wheels alloy eater

megs hot rims I used to use... but with products like Bilberry or Muc-Off on the market which are much better value for money and work better and smell nice and are nice to the environment then you don't need to be using aggressive product
