Hi all,
I'm thinking about buying this golf but it's "pre ignition" :embarassed:what does this mean and is it a big problem?
Really like the car but don't wanna buy a complete money pit! What are your thoughts? Any help is well welcome. Thanks

No idea what he means to be honest. It's going to need some work too.

dead reliybull
if he cant spell reliable or use a spell checker how can you trust thats hes (or she) been able to sort a car?

I know, that put me off too!
Still haven't decided if I should go for it or not.
He didn't sell it through Ebay so I might be able to get it for around £500 what you you think??
Thanks

I WOULD LEAVE ALONE BETTER CARS AROUND/IN NICER COLOURS.

pre ignition= bad timing
runs rough
when you turn off the engine it will contiue to run, cough splutter then stop.

tbh, worst case is it'll need a new engine. the engine is the cheapest part of a mk1 cabby tbh
