Title: security
Post by: Chris 'N' Jen on 30 January 2008, 15:00
Has anyone put any aftermarket security devices on their mk4? a tracker, fuel shut off etc.

At present i only have the vw imob and alarm but would like to upgrade if poss. I like the idea of fuel shut off so if someone manages to get past the alarm the car runs out of juice in 100yds or so. Then i can go and congratulate them with my bat.

what d y'all think  :undecided:

Sounds like a wicked idea.  I know Revo offer a "valet mode" with their software switch.  This means the car wont do more than about 30 mph.  I know its not actually a security device, but its a good idea for things like when you park yur car with airport parking etc.  Also means if they nick it, they will probably get fed up pretty quick and leave it.

I want of them "PLEASE STEP AWAY FROM THE CAR" when you get too close to it :D

J5H VW - that sounds like a gud'n. Could have done with that recently when i took it to vw and they thrashed it about.

aland - Also a gud'n, iv looked at those before but i think they attract young nuggats wanting to hear the car speak. I wonder how much Kit is of nightrider!!
