hi and yep ive got another one the hazard switch in my gti is located on top of the steering column but it wont budge how do i access it? :huh:

ok now i dont get anything now 1.i have a digi speedo on the gearbox? 2.i have a hazard switch on the steering column? 3.my gti,s a 89?????????????????? :shocked:

A what on the gearbox? Is it small bumpered? You probably have a wierd cross over car.

nope got big bumpers but dont look orig! me thinks me got a gypsy car! i,d better check everything twice before doing any work or ordering stuff hmmmmm! oh yeh sorry i,ve got a connecter for a digi spedometer got to remove it so i can install my speedo cable again! :shocked:

anyway i can see that im going to have my work cut out with this one so im going to start a thread in the projects section with photos so that anyone who wants to help me identify the parts and match them to a year can do cos this ones gonna take some doing to get it in good nick for the sommer, so anyone wanting to follow my progress-regress or just laugh at the nummty who bought a gypsy car is welcome to do so from thursd onwards... wuzzy out! :laugh:

As for getting to your hazards, pop off the horn cover, undo the big nut to get the wheel off, three screws in the stalks, unplug all the wires, slide off the stalks, and the hazard is one of them, the wiper one I think (EDIT: No, its the indicator one).
Invest in a haynes manual, this kind of stuff is in there.
