I have just joined facebook, just wondered if any of you guys are members or have considered it, there a few vw/golf/gti groups. If anyone does fancy it my email is patricka1967@hotmail.co.uk use that so that we can become friends.....if you want!

Hey there Pat.

If you run a search in the chat nonsense section you will notice a few Facebook related threads. But obviously if you looking only for people with Mk5's then I guess you could invite me although I never use my facebook. Name is Michael Stafford

I don't expect Facebook to last even 5 years!

It's an advertising/spamming trap - when you sign up you have to give so much personal detail and Facebook employ people full time to monitor you behind the scenes and target you for advertising.

Thats very true - since I got engaged, I get no end of adverts for wedding related stuff, just thought it was a coincidence, but its only started happening since I changed my relationship bit to engaged! the crafty buggers! :angry:

lol well thats prob how facebook make their money, we dont may to use it, but companys may to adversise and its obvious marketing. the data you put in narrows you down to particular areas.. what you said just proves it! but we all knew it. otherwise they wouldnt make any money..
