great spec and top colour pal, dump the lifeshine save yourself a few quid, give it a good quality wax yourself and put the money towards a remap

thanks. Remap is very tempting, but how does it affect the VW warranty?

Thanx for the welcome everyone

Welcome to the forum Jay, great taste in cars I must say. A remap all depends on the dealers attitude towards them, some may instantly void your warranty some may not. However with many companies remaps are undetectable so the dealer will never know, plus being able to change the map through the cruise control to stock or race etc. will help when going in for service, warranty work.

Well I had it for most of last week and it really impressed me, I put 700 miles on her in 4 days   I was'nt very good at 'running it in' in though I have got quite a heavy right foot. I think the first mod is full milltek when available then intercooler, carbonio, forge dv etc. I think the remap is gonna be the last thing as I want to get a stage 2 programme

It is back with the stealers at the mo getting repaired for the gash down the side courtesy of a woman driver!!! That particular car may not be mine though, if I am not happy with the repair they have agreed to replace the car, if the repair is perfect I will keep the car but be compensated for the inconvenience in some way or other. I hope all goes well with the repair as I cannot be ars** waiting another 2/3 months for a new one

As long as you go with a company with a good reputation you'll be fine. APR, Oettinger, Revo, GIAC are well known names. I think remaps from these companies are undetectable, however I stand to be corrected
