Title: Where can I get soundproofing from ?

hi folks,

av just spent all day removing the under-carpet soundproofing of ma mk2 due to it getting really wet, the smell is minging!
anyone know where to get any new soundproofing from? am guessing i cant get it from vag anymore :embarassed:

They do smell when they are damp. If they are in one piece I'd try and dry them out on the radiators at home first. Not sure where you get them from new, but you could try VW I guess.

I used posh carpet underlay, you know the type with the foam bubbles inbetween the nylon fabric

Fair Do's thats innovation. Do you think that's as good then? Could you use it in between door and door cards aswell possibly? I think you may be on to somthing here :smiley:

I have just bought some decent underlay with a rubber backing off a shop on e-bay - Zebedee Fabrics - no hassle e-bayer.
