my car is due its mot in 3 weeks and my seatbelt has decided to stop retracting i had it apart and made it better for a bit but now it has packed in so i am going to get one from a scrapyard
my car is a 3door so was wondering if one from a 4door would be the same also do any of the other vag cars have the same belts if i cant find a mk2
cheers

I guess mk3 ones would be similar, altho much heavier of course and i reckon you should be ok with a four door version dude.

4 door ones are slightly different, the 3 door one have a spring setup to hold the belt down and out of the way of the door for rear passengers. it should still bolt up though... A MK3 polo coupe one might work if you can find one?

so if i can find one that folds down it should fit

pretty much yeah, just check the plug bit on the end will fit your clip thingy. a 4 door one would still be fine, just that the belt will be in the way of people gettin in the back, but they casn get in de passenger side instead!
