Title: Hi everyone from Leics

Hello

Im Jay from near Loughborough in Leicestershire. I've ordered an ED30 which I'll hopefully get my hands on at the beginning of March  :smiley:. It will be the second GTI i've owned as I had a Mk4 GTI turbo about 4 years ago.

Welcome Jay, it'll be worth the wait pal. How's things in the east midlands, lived out that way myself for 5 years, Castle Donnington mainly not to far from you

Yeah not too long to wait now. Ordered it at the begining of Dec so well over half the wait gone. Things are good specially with donnington circuit just a 10 min drive away  :grin:. Did you do a few track days there when you lived near by?

No i was only 19 at the time so spent most of my time chasin girls round nottingham and derby, even a club called jimmy deans out towards your neck of the woods, had a few nights out in loughborough too, one of me mates was seein a girl at the university. Was drivin a chipped RS turbo though so was still doin me bit 4 the modded car scene :evil:

Jimmy Deans!! now I haven't been there for years. Loughborough is not a bad night out but not a patch on Notts. I had 7 years modding RS's. Bought a standard escort cossie, which had a GGR stage 3 after a couple of months. Then I got into trackdays and it ended up at 415bhp, AP 330 brakes, straight cut gearbox and the list goes on. Great fun but got fed up fixing it all the time.
