Title: removing old dv problems help!

i got a forge dv that i need to fit befor remap but i cant get the clip of :(   

it is a round metal sprung clip that hocks on and a small bit of metal that is pinched, can any one help me please i am pulling my hair out i dont no how to get it of

Cut it with snips then repace it with a new jublee clip. You might also want to get some silicone pipe for the top hose as im sure it will snap when you remove it  :wink:

I had exactly the same problem when I changed mine and yeah a pair of snips will do the job or if you're careful a dremmel type jobbie will do nicely.  Replace with Jubilee clips as previously said.  I found with mine that the top hose was in good condition and I just pulled the old one off (clip and all) and pushed it onto the new DV without having to remove / replace the clip.  Good job too as I couldn't find a jubilee clip small enough to go into the recess at the top.  A year and a half later and its still going strong.

yea i got it of today both clips where an arse.  i just used a cable tye for the top pipe.
