That is going back a few years now! A friend of mine owns it now, so I still get to see it now and then.

Hey Gibby - life's not bad. I'm more into my bikes at the moment - I'm running a modified GSXR 1000 right now. I'm just getting it ready for a trip to the Nurburgring later in the year! Should be fun. I'll be keeping an eye for out for all the modified Golfs that are always on Youtube! I'm still longing for an old Splitscreen too - but with work, bikes, and babies - I've not got the time (or money). How's tricks with you anyhow? Is the VW collection growing, ever regret selling the cab? I know I miss my old VR6 Corrado - a V5 Passat just doesnt feel the same......

Aye I seem to remember you saying before that you were getting back into your bikes. I guess when you start on them cars don't quite seem the same speed wise. :wink: I'm ok thanks, lifes good, I got engaged to Louise before Chistmas so looking to get married in 2009. As for the VW collection, it's not growing nor is it likely to, I've got my Rallye in for a respray at the moment and I think I'm going to concentrate on that over the next few years. Camper is still there but I don't use it as much as I should and check out my new daily, it's an N reg 1.9 Clio diesel ! :embarassed: ha ha. It's great, runs and runs and I take it to be cleaned every six months or so and I don't care where I park it and it does 45mpg ! Love it. :grin:
Do I regret selling the cab ? Not really if I'm honest, I had it for four years and it was time to start on a Rallye I reckon. :cool:

Hmm, not sure who's side I should be on here! To be fair Charly was released in 1991, so we'd have been 9 and can probably be excused for missing the rave scene at the time - but still this is a timeless classic!
