Hi, my name is Mike and I've the guy that runs Mk3Love. Thanks for posting the link.  Mind sharing how you came across the site?

For as many VR6s as there may be over in the States, there are probably even more 2.0L motors. I've got a 2.0 8v in my Jetta and love it.

Also, though I live in the US, we have members on Mk3Love from all over the world, including the UK, Germany, Ireland, Portugal, the Netherlands and Australia. Feel free to stop by and say hi.

Thanks!

The 2.0L engine used in the US Mk3s is coded the ABA and is an 8v engine. The intake manifold looks different than most others and is generally called a "cross-flow" head due to the direction of the incoming air coming across the top of the engine from the back and then into the motor from the front.

having the inlet on the front side (not near bulkhead)  of the engine would give move space for a super charger ;) ...............

The picture I posted with the S/C is an 8v engine. We didn't get a 16v Mk3 in the US.

Dont you listen mikester, he even explained that earlier in this post stoopid

The lumps we have over here have the inlet manifold and exhaust of the back side of the head, the american ones have the inlet on the front side of the head, then the inlet wraps over the top just like the valver over here.

And theres nowt wrong with charging an 8v, just look at the g60
