i have won the bid for a set off 15' split rimm bbs alloy wheels on ebay, but there is a problem?
The ad says that the wheels are in the uk, when i won the bid the guy emailed me and said he is german and the wheels are over there??
Also, he has no feedback, and even his personal email and ebay user namr is bbsrims ???
He wants me to wire the money straight in to his account?
I've asked him all this but i don't think it translates and he never really answers?
What do you think, too many wrong answers for me, if the wheels aint in the uk like he said than do i have any come back with ebay, he has lied???
Any one else heard about this sort of thing happenin on ebay befor???

Sounds a bit dodgy to me :-\
I've only really started using ebay this year but have already got my feedback rating up to 12 with 100% positive feedback.
If you use paypal you do get some protection but I don't think it'll cover the full cost of a set of 15" BBS rims.........in fact I think it only covers you for around ?30 but I may be wrong there.
I'd email him some more and try and get the communication flowing............tread carefully mate...........

ive heard bad stories like this. dont give him your money. i guarantee he will take the money and dissapear.
-
You do have protection whatever you choose to do (except sending cash)..
Even if you send a cheque you can recall it for upto six months...
Check with your bank, they'll be able to advise..
-
yeah i wouldnt, the rims are rms arent they? i was looking at them but it didnt ring true, so i didnt bid in the end, at the end of the day you dont have to give him s**t i wouldnt, sounds well dodgy

ask ebay for advice?
Bet his feedback sounds to good to be true i bet?

Wiring the money is dodgy... .Better off paying by credit card or cheque as you can always get the money back.

My favourite eBay story was when someone paid about ?12,000 for a watch, and ended up with a photo of the watch!
Thats an expensive photo!
I've been meaning to put up a few things on eBay but get put off by all these stories of scams and half of Africa wanting to overpay you.
