Title: Mk2 golf 2ltr 16v engine conversion.
Post by: iainmackay85 on 19 January 2008, 13:17
I have a mk2 golf 1.6cl 4+E which has lowered suspension aftermarket alloys(£0 value) with locking nuts, aftermarket bigbore back box. I am currently fitting a 2ltr 16v to it, my insurance quote from HIC just now is ~£850 but i intend to fit uprated brakes. what else would HIC like to see on the car to lower the quote?

why would airbags be of an advantage? I wouldn't expect that the insurance company would pay out for personal injury anyway??

WHY!??? I think you have to have a drivers one these days, plus it makes the car safer, and personal injury is covered in my policy, but thats ok, your safety is up too you.
