Title: Remapping
Post by: TDIfurby on 25 March 2004, 21:37
Hullo

I'm sure that most of you guys will be very familiar with remapping tuning, but I've only just recently been able to get it and WOW! it does bloody wonders.

I used a friendly tuning company called Jabbasport near Peterborough to remap my PD100 Fabia.  This was in December and they got it putting out 147BHP which in a diesel is fairly damn quick!  Then I rolled it...  :(   But now have the same ECU running in Fabia II with the same results.

Its amazing to think that just tweaking a little bit of programming can do this and companies like Jabbasport REALLY know their stuff.  So much so I'm using them to fit suspension to my car too.

One downside is bloody insurance and I only found one company who'd insure me, Liverpool Victoria so a big  8) to them.

Anyone in two minds about getting a car (esp. turboed) remapped don't be as it'll make you a different car!   ;D

Cheers
