Title: Suspension knackered

Drivin home from work and heard a bang looked over my shoulder and noticed te drivers side plinth where the speakers are was sticking up, got out to have a look and the suspension has gone straight through the top plate, just want to know easist way to fix this as i'm workin 12 til midnight tomorrow and i need the F@CKER workin
Anything will do for time been

with the time you have left before work id say your only hope is to use gaffer tape.

alternatively...get a taxi to work and get onto VW, GSF or ECP today for the spares required

The ring that the top mount seats on has expired.

If you're going to have it apart then you might as well drop new dampers and top mounts in there.

well I'm looking at at set of coilovers in a couple of month so don't want to spend too much cos i've got some spendin to do at ultimate dubs so we'll see

all u need is a little circlip as i had the same problem. u can only get it from a vw dealer and costs about 56p inc vat.
cant find a part number but heres a pic if u print it out and take it to a dealer and show him he'll be able to find it on his system. its the part with the arrow pointing at it.

 make sure wen putting it back together the washer with recess in it on to the little clip other wise u will get the same problem agen

just like that but was told thought it was top mount plate what had gone so got one today for a fiver, so i hope it's that cos parts department won't be open tommorow so i'll be gutted :cry:

All fixed but now I've just found half the door on the side of the arch has rotted :angry:
