I was reading this thread at lunch time :- http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=73154.0 (poor guy)
I decided to use the link on the second post down:- http://www.askmid.com/askmid.aspx
Put my reg in and I was not on the insurance database
Frantic call to the insurance broker and it turns out that they had a made a typo, changing a "V" to a "U" so my reg was wrong ahhhhhhhhh :embarassed:
All sorted now, but I would never have known otherwise if I had not followed the link. "yes officer your ANPR database is wrong!"
-
what's the purpose of the database?
-
Don't know. I just saw the link and tried it. I'm glad I did.
Mind you, you could check to see in the Neighbour’s car is insured.

I think it has somthing to do with Taxing the car on line! Tho it is not much use checking the car next door if yours is not on the database!
