My Mk3 1.4 ( pics in the for sale section ) Has been lowered 40mm on ibatch progressive spings on standard gas shocks fitted aoround 6 months, over the years i have a terrible problem with a banging from the rear axle sounds like the end of the world and it keeps getting worse so ive got round to ordering some polly bushies from awsome gti and have a mate that will fit them he says its a big job.....any1 ever done them ????
as for making the 1.4cl quicker lol update the fuel pump, air filter, and a polo gear box much better now your even with nova sr`s lol

Rear axle bushes are a pain, you will need to remove the rear axle, and probably use a press for the removal/refitting of the bushes.

I think I may have a problem with one of the rear bushes on mine, However as the main syptom of the problem is a slightly livlier back end, I'm more than happy to drive round on f**ked rear bushes :D
The rear gets especially lively over bumps. Is this a characteristic of the Mk3 or just another side effect of potentially knackered bushes?
