welcome mate
looks a tidy motor, possibly a little bit expensive but its had a lot of work done to it. I'd try and knock him down a few quid
-
you recon 4200 would be good?
-
give it a go :afro:
whats your budget anyway??
-
4k at a push you know of any good uns for that sort of money?
-
whats the different engine codes is one 150 bhp and the other 180?
-
not for 4K no lol
180's didn't come out until 2002 when they first appeared in the Anni GTI's. From 03 they were standard. Anything before is 150 but there's like a couple of different types; one was DBW and the other not i think
-
he said he may take 4100 for it- what do ya recon?
-
pretty lookin motor good mileage and sounds looked after, looks clean and tidy from the pics i'd say it was worth a look and sounds a reasonable price
-
have a look and see what its like, make sure its hpi clear and see if the cam belt and water pump have been done
looks like a nice motor mate, not a bad price for all that work. if you bought a standard car for less it would cost a fair amount to get it up to that spec
-
car looks good for the money, offer the top end of your budget time of year and all that ,you never get if you dont ask as they say
-
Looks good to me and the price seems realistic, almost too low IMO, which makes me a little suspicious. Theres a big service around 70k/80k so make sure thats been done plus the cam belt. This cost me £600 at VW when I had it done, although that included new front discs.
A car thats been modded like that will have been driven "enthusiatically", so I would be most concerned about engine wear, especially as its tuned to 215bhp which is towards the top end of whats do-able without proper serious mods.
For example, in its history I would like to see loads of regular oil changes etc.
The final thing I would say (and its purely a personnal opinion) is that are you sure you want a look-a-like R32??? I bet you will get quite a bit of negative attention.
-
Thats too expensive that for 1999.
I got a late 02 for £5500.
Better deals around i bet.
