Title: Front Caliper bolts
Post by: JC on 14 January 2008, 20:04

Can someone confirm for me that a gti 16v 1990 should have proper bolts and not those awful alan key bolts fitted ?? that I found on my driver and the gti hubs i bought

Did a search and cant find owt but posts on the alan key types

yet the first side of mine I checked has standard bolts

No, it should have 'standard' M8 bolts to bolt the caliper to the caliper carriers and then larger bolts to secure the caliper carriers to the hub, not the bollox allen-headed ones.

I did write up a bit about G2 brakes and put it here (http://diamondhell.com/content/view/32/30/)
