Now I havn't got a golf, i've actually got a 106gti but I love all the trends and everything to do with the VW scene hence getting performance VW every month lol
Pretty soon i'll be getting airbag suspension for it and I've seen some cars in the mag where the wheel is properly at an angle into the arch when it's sitting down
Does the wheel only sit like that when it's on the floor or is it permanently like that?
And is it an easy job to do?

The whole idea behind camber is that your tyre is perpendicular to the road at all times - offering the most grip. That's why the wheel campers in the higher in the wheel arch it goes, it compensates for the car rolling in corners. To answer your question, the lower your car goes the more camber, but I think some modified cars purposely alter the camber to the huge degree you're talking about - if that's the look you want I'd get a book on suspension geometry, because the fact that you're asking a question like that says you need to learn more about this before you tackle something with such potential dangerous consequenses. Not that it's a stupid question to ask.

I'd never try this on my own, just thinking how much would it cost money wise
Still don't know wether the wheels are still at an angle while the cars (purposely altered for looks camber) are being driven or if they're just like that while it's on the floor, don't suppose any one would know would they?

you can adjust the camber so they run like that all the time, yes. you either need camber shims or adjustable top mounts, or if your suspension has the option to adjust it from where it mounts to the hub then thats the easiest way but generally only adjustable at the front.
