Did Goodwood with a few pals last year pal, it was brilliant, apart from the weather the Sunday was a complete washout, we camped for the full weekend I didn't know what to expect and was blown away by the size of the event and the variety of cars there.
We are in the process of planning this years trip you'll have to let us know if your deff going and we can meet up for a beer

Id definitely like to meet up with a group and head to an event 'en-mass'!!

Its been ages (years) since ive been to something like GTI International.

It would also be a good opportunity for someone to show me the full effects of a remap before I get mine!

StevieS, im in St Albans so not far from you!

Sounds perfect!

The earlier we arrange, the better for me too, apparently I have to book 'time away' from the missus at least 1 month in advance now....

why not time it yourself........
1. get your phone
2. wedge it in your steering wheel so the camera is facing the spedo
3. turn your video camera on your phone on
4. press record
5. from stand still FLOOR IT!!
6. go home and put the video on your computer
7. on the screen from when you hit 1mph to 60mph time it using the time bar at the bottom of the player.

this i believe is a good way of timing 0-60. wait for some dry weather though

Cue mobile phone smashing you in the nose!

Agree with the dry weather comment, wheel spin in 3rd is not fun.

Nor was the traction control light flashing on the M25 during the 'flood' last Friday...at 75mph...mummy...

I use my SATNAV to time 0-60  It is accurate to 0.1mph

GTI International do a standing 1/4 with 0-60 times, 1/4 mile times and terminal speeds.

Santa Pod do just about everything else except 0-60 time.

Post by: SteveS on 14 January 2008, 21:11

Kenwood DNX 7200.

Still need a stopwatch, but speed readout is more accurate.
