can u tell me if they do a cover to go over the roof when it is down on a mk1 cab. if so how much and where from?

Yep, you can get one..........try searches for 'torneau cover'
I bought mine second hand for ?70. Keep your eye on the this 'for sale' section and ebay.

Quick question about the hood cover.

There are a couple of straps on the cover that have velcro on them.  Any ideas what these are supposed to attach to.  Maybe I have something missing.  It looks like they go behind the rear seat somehow.

I think there is supposed to be a couple of velcro strips on the underside of your parcel shelf. I didn't have any on mine but they were there originally. I just use the velcro to stick to the parcel shelf carpet on the underside, the main thing on these covers is that you use the press studs,also ,make sure the hooks that are on the inside of the cover are hooked onto the two loops of the hood and it will be secure enough.

The roof cover for a cab with an electric hood differs slightly in that it has extra poppered tabs to disable the supply for the electric motor when the cover is fitted, to prevent the roof being raised.

Richard, is it the cream one in photo ? How clean is it and what condition is it in ?

I've already got one for mine but I was thinking that if I could get a spare for a reasonable price then I might be interested. Don't really want to pay more than ?50, you could get more on e-bay so go for it, thanks anyway.  :)
