No, despite being a just like mine, this is not my car.
My mate was involved in a crash the other day with a tw@t of a driver in this MK4. He came right up on his arse giving it, so my mate gave it some on the straight (BMW 328i) and pulled away from him. Then came towards the end of the road when any normal person would start to slow down, so he did. This gave the idiot in the MK4 some new inspired confidence that he was actually catching him up and went onto the wrong side of the road to overtake him when he realised that the road was coming to and end, slammed the anchors on and swerved back onto the right side of the road, completely lost it and this is what's eft of his Golf. He was unconscious and my mate had to drag him out the car as a fire that was starting. The engine ended up in the passenger seat, had anyone been sitting there, they would have been dead. Its never nice to see a Mk4 Golf go off the road, especially by an idiotic driver that clearly had no idea what he was doing.

holy sh-t ..... that is a nasty crash man ...... thought mk4 was a heavy and solid car ,woulda thought mk4 will perform well in a crash but by lookin at the photos i guessed not .....

Just thought I should point out he was absolutely caneing it !

Ouch! The tw**s we have on the road these days!
And that's exactly why we have to pay so much car insurance. Hopefully the driver has learnt his lesson!
Good thing no one else was hurt because of his stupidity.
-
thats one proper mess, can only hope that everyone is ok and that he's learnt his lesson.

Errr, wrong... I think the extent of the damage in the photos above is more to do with the speeds involved and the obviously fairly solid object he drove into, not because the Mk4 is "not a solid car".
All modern cars are supposed to deform as much as possible in a heavy collision to absorb impact energy.

thats one poorly mk4,but as has been said hope the driver has learnt from it bet the lad in the bmw was abit shook up.
-
Can u ask if i can have the rear rubber wiper blade please.
-
lolol ! ^ :D
With regards to speed, I cant only guess by how long the straight was, I rekon about 80 - 90.

Just seen this and all I got to say is f**k!
Im gonna take it easy with mine over the weekend!
