hi i need to find the engine code so i can book the car in to have the cam belt changed ive had the cover off the engine to see if the code is stamped on the head and i just cant see it it must be further down the engine some where is there an easier way to find out from the engine number :undecided:

just below the oil cap there is a screw slightly to the left take the cover off and the engine code will be stamped there

still cant find it :cry: had the big cover off and just cant see it my engine is different to yours mine is a 1.8 20v non turbo so the inlet manafold covers the cylinder head just cant see much at all

just looked om the log book and the engine number is
ang******
does that mean the code is agn ? :laugh:

ah kk, then im not sure mate, I only really know about 1.8t's and 1.4's - lol!

Is it not in your owners manual where it details the specs of all the different engines?

it should be in the log book and all around the engine and by the boot well too.....

White sticker in the boot by the spare wheel, Left hand side. :wink:

i have a programe on my works computer where u just type in the registration and all the cars details come up from tyre size to engine number and vin number, if anyone wants any help with that.

The Clip on the frin left hand side of the cover under that is a liitle tag sticking out there you code should be on there mate, bit late i know :rolleyes:
