Hi, i'm Dan,
I'm planning on getting a MK2 Golf GTI In May, as i'll be able to insure one then!!
I currently own a Peugeot 306 DTurbo-S-SP Edition,
So thought i would join up nice and early to get all the info i need before buying one!

Thanks, i've only done an insurance check on a 8V so far, i doubt i'd be able to insure the 16V though.
I'll have a look later.

Aherm, 19, i'll be 20 when i get the GTI though
Looking at quotes for a 16V, it goes up £400! :(

Although do you think a 16V would be a lot more with HIC aswell?

I may be getting the golf sooner than i thought as my mum might let me be a named driver on her insurance, and i'll still build up my NCB! :D
Never know, might even be able to get a 16V!

To be honest, i'm not much of a fan of the MK1, i know there isnt a huge difference in looks, but the MK2 appeals more to me!
