a pic ov the engine
just over 10k
will it be ok for the build
the build must go on lol
-
hey i saw that on ebay aswell!lol i should think it will be ok as long as you use a mk2 golf sump and oil pick up pipe!
-
yeah thats the 1 why the sump and pick up .not to clued up on this conversion cheers mark
-
you will still need the 2e dizzy not ABKs

well if the engine comes out of a car thats mounted longditudinaly, the sump and pickup is differant as it sits at a differant angle.

ov course
the dizzy i now about cheers guys
dubslug_ do u have a big valve head .wot gains will i get from this. been to c my mate tonite hes s**t hot with engines
hes guna use my other head and open it up also my manifolds port n polish the lot. hes a great friend (painted my red golf for nothing) ov course i saw him right
he was asking if its worth big valving the head. dont wana spend a fortune doin this for little hp gains
just reconning my other box get my other head done new 2lt block will be already to put in when done.
also putting in a cam (fast road) is this a good option and a chip.
if i missed anything i should know any mods etc will be very welcome
thanks guys .you all feel like brothers

I had my short block balanced; crank, fly and con-rods. Made a lot of difference, rev's smoothly and idles lovely and if you are putting in a fast cam the power band will probably be higher so you will be spending more time at higher RPM's! a worth while upgrade for these older engines!
-
so a good option then cam wise cheers
how much did it cost you to get it balanced a rough price is expected as with different specialists ect
-
wooh won the block. £90 with 10k wear sorted it will soon all come together.
-
i think the abk dizzy will be fine, if you look at the block it aint got a crank sensor so the dizzy must be the right one for a digifant MK2 :)
edit: ABK block is Audi version of the 2e ;)

yet again jon puts me right, just when im thinking im getting somewhere....
yeah i have a bvh...not been able to open it up yet as its not been in long....
but i was told that a bvh will help it rev better and breath better at higher revs

thanks. may take this path. need some pennies
