Hi All!
I am thinking about a remap for my edition 30 and would like to know which is the best one to go for!? I have had a price from superchips at £540. Also looking to get some 19" BBS CH with 225 35 19" tyres! Can anyone point me in the right direction for the best and cheapest place to pick these up?
Cheers John

Agree with Gaz, Awesome GTI can give you all the informatioon you will need and supply all the parts at a competitive price.

What sort of price are we looking at for the wheels as I have got a price of £1000 delivered for just the wheels at the moment!?

My APR remap gave up 285bhp on Awesome's rolling road along with 290lbft of torque. Before it was 242bhp and 217lbft. The extra torque makes overtaking anything a simple two second prod of the accelerator
Awesome say that it takes the car a while to "learn" the new map and should eventually see another 10bhp or so. I am going back sometime this month as I have ordered the full milltek system and the forge DV. I will again do before and after RR's to see what the old girl puts out for me  . Hopefully it will tip it over the 300bhp mark. This time I will also make sure she has been fed on a strict diet of V-power instead of BP ultimate as Gazbutmkv got 298 bhp and 312lbft from just the remap using v-power.
I know Superchips state that the remap is 307bhp and 288lbft, but I haven't actually seen any rolling road results yet

How much is the APR remap? What price have you been given for the milltek?

Are your 19's purely for aesthetic purposes? Every inch in diameter will make your car less responsive and ultimately slower round corners.
Despite popular opinion.

www.starperformance.co.uk is right on your door step and they supply GIAC switchable maps which can have 5 programmes.
Keith on here is getting his new Ed30 done there sometime soon. Maybe Jim would do a discount for 2 cars?
-
Going to forget about the wheels as Spoke to Awesome today and the wheels alone are £1399 with Vat on top of that price! Will spend my cash on the Remap and Milltek! Asked Awesome about there APR remap and by the time you pay for the switchable program you are talking £700 and then an extra £55 + VAT for a power run on the rollers! I think I will be getting the Superchip remap with the ability to put the stock program back into the ECU for when she needs to go in for a service. I was thinking about Star Performance but have been put off the place since I was there in December with my R32 as Jim was not really interested in chatting just wanted my Cash!
-
I am not gonna dis Superchips as i dont know enough about them, Star on the other hand i do.Jim can be off sometimes but i wouldn't hold it against them, i certainly havent found him to after anyones cash, he has always been honest with me reg my last 2 cars i have had there.I would try them again.
-
Probably got him on a bad day then! Still not sure what remap to go for! I understand that the GIAC Remap done by Star is the only one that does not put up the ecu flash counter!
-
Don't think the APR map does either pal from what Jim at Awesome was tellin me.
